JULEEN BOOTHE
Juleen was raised in a musical family, starting piano lessons at 5 and violin at 8, studying under George Reimschüssel - her father; Sally Peck Lentz - Utah Symphony, and Percy Kalt - BYU. She attended both Weber State and BYU on music scholarships, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from BYU.

During her time in college, she was a member of Weber State A Cappella Choir, as well as a member of Weber State Symphony and BYU Philharmonic, where she performed concerto solos with both. Juleen had many opportunities to play with string quartets at both schools, with the unique opportunity to be coached by David Dalton, including a quartet performance for William Primrose master class. She was also a member of the WSU Faculty String Quartet with Michael Palumbo, Paul Joines, and Richard Stout.

For 26 years, Juleen was a music educator in Weber, Davis, and Palmdale, California, schools, and has taught private violin and piano lessons throughout her life, beginning at age 19. She has also been a violin coach for Golden Spike Youth and Southern California Junior High All-state Orchestras.

Other highlights of her performing career include playing with the Camarillo Chamber, Antelope Valley, Conejo Valley, and Ventura orchestras; recording in studios and churches; performing for local theater in Southern California and the Ogden areas; and performing at concerts of John Denver and Smokey Robinson.
She is presently playing with Chamber Orchestra Ogden, New American Philharmonic, and in a local string quartet. She also enjoys serving as an organist and accompanist.
Juleen loves her family as a mother of five and grandmother of 10.
