Shannon Wheatley Talbot is a native of Ogden. She graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor's in Music in 1992. She has since taught orchestra at Ben Lomond High and K-6th music at Clinton Elementary. She is a member of the Canyon String Quartet and has performed with Chamber Orchestra Ogden since its inception.

She is married to Steve Talbot (Chamber Orchestra Ogden's bass trombonist ) and they have four children and two grandchildren. Her hobbies include writing, dancing, hiking, and stargazing.
