Marianne Rohbock

Principal

Marianne began her violin studies at the age of 6 with Karen Child in Utah. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Performance from Weber State University in 2015, where she studied with Shi-Hwa Wang and served as concertmaster of the orchestra.

She has completed Suzuki Teacher Training in ECC, Level 1, Level 2, and Teaching Strategies. She performed with the International Music Festival in Austria in 2013, received runner-up in the 2015 Coeur d'Alene Symphony National Competition, and received 1st place in the 2015 Utah ASTA festival. She performs with Chamber Orchestra Ogden, NEXT Ensemble, and Ballet West Orchestra. She served as a violin specialist with Northern Utah Youth Orchestra in 2019-2020.

Marianne enjoys teaching her music students in the Ogden area and performing in various settings. When she's not involved in music, Marianne finds joy in homeschooling her children with her husband, Geoffrey, reading, and baking treats.
