Jeline Barut
Jeline began her musical career in the Philippines as both a pianist and violinist, serving as concertmaster and soloist with the Philippine Research Development for Instrumental Soloists and the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra. A two-time first prize winner at the National Music Competitions for Young Artists and the Piano Teachers Guild of the Philippines, she later performed as a soloist with the Manila Symphony Orchestra and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.
Awarded a full scholarship to Weber State University, she graduated with honors in Violin Performance, earning first prizes in violin solo and chamber music from the American String Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association.
An active performer, Jeline has appeared as a soloist and concertmaster for one of the BachFest events. She currently serves as principal second violin for Chamber Orchestra Ogden’s 2024–2025 season. Also, she performs with the Ogden Chamber Orchestra, NEXT Ensemble, and in Weber State Theater productions, including Sweeney Todd, The Little Match Girl, Jane Eyre, and Brigadoon. Her ballet repertoire includes Cinderella and Bournonville Ballet.
Jeline is on faculty at Imagine Music in Ogden, where she teaches both violin and piano.
