David Strait is the band and choir director at HighMark Charter School in South Weber, UT, and the drumline instructor for Gold Spike Percussion, a WGI Open Class percussion ensemble. A graduate of Weber State University, David is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Music Education at Liberty University.

In addition to university ensembles, he has performed with the Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra, the Ogden Mustangs Drumline, and the Patriots Drum & Bugle Corps of Rochester, NY.

David is also an active percussion clinician in northern Utah and proudly served as a member of the United States Army Reserve from 2010 to 2018.
