STEPHANIE STRAIT

Stephanie Strait plays flute and piccolo for Chamber Orchestra Ogden. She is the music teacher for Summit Academy High School and Summit Academy Independence Junior High. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Performance and has taught through private instruction and in schools for over fifteen years. She enjoys being an active member of the music community and has always been involved in arts-based nonprofit organizations in her community.

 She currently serves on the board of directors for Performing Arts Weber and has previously worked with the Utah Flute Association, NEXT Ensemble, and the Weber State University String Project where she had the opportunity to launch and conduct the Ogden Youth Symphony. 

Her husband, David Strait, is a percussionist and fellow music educator. While most of their hobbies center around music activities and classic cars, she also enjoys paddle boarding with her husband and discovering all of the best local restaurants in town.
