ELISSA KREBS

Violin Assistant Concertmaster

Elissa Krebs is currently a candidate for a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in violin performance/viola pedagogy at the University of Utah. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Utah in Violin Performance and a bachelor's degree from Weber State University in Instrumental Music Education. 

Elissa served a number of years as Weber State University String Project's Master Teacher, in addition to several years spent as a student teacher, and is a recipient of WSU's Exemplary Collaboration Award.


 She is currently a registered Suzuki violin teacher and, most recently, is the founder and director of Junction City Music School, where she is working with a number of area private teachers to raise the standard of string teaching and student achievement in the Ogden/Weber County area. 


 In addition to maintaining a full teaching studio, she performs frequently with Chamber Orchestra Ogden, NEXT Ensemble, Antelope Chamber Players, and the Orchestra at Temple Square, and is an adjunct violin/viola instructor at Weber State University.  


She lives in Ogden with her husband and three children and loves reading and hiking.
